Hello fellow Survivor lovers! Before I begin today’s post (which is out of schehdule) I will address how our blog is going to work this season. After taking a few episodes to digest everything, and lots of panning from our team, we are going to now regularly post every Tuesday at 8 p.m. in prep for the next day’s episode. Although we would have loved to post for the first three episodes, we felt as if we needed more time to make a good plan for well-rounded post. So what I’m trying to say is we could have made a few very okay post, but we want to give each post our best. Thank you and enjoy!
Perhaps the most controversial part of this season yet-Edge of Extinction- has finally let us on what it is. A place where voted off castaways go and eventually (no one knows when) they will compete in a challenge to get back in the game. After the second episode, I almost was sure Reem and Keith were most likely not to make it back in the game. But, the last person to go there was Chris Underwood, has definitely, from at first glance, a much better chance of returning to the game. He is very strong in challenges as seen in just three episodes. I have to say, it was quite sad to see him leave as I was hopeful for him and glad he was ready to make a big move. Although, in this game one must be weary of who to trust and not. Quite frankly, he should have not trust Wardog. David, a returning vet of the game, even said not to tell Wardog about blindsiding Wentworth. What can I say-David knows best. Despite those rookie mistake, Chris would also have the easiest time returning socially out of all three. His social skills and likability from the tribe are far much better than Reem and Keith’s. So, as of now at least, we pick Chris to be our Edge of Extinction returner.
As far as how we like Edge of Extinction, I personally am glad to have it. A whole other element is added to the game and no, I don’t think it is too much. It is also rumored that the main motivation for Edge of Extinction was to serve as a buffer for returning players in case they got voted out early. This way, there would at least be more time with them for the fans. Although this seems a little cliche, I am, fairly or not, glad they have it for this reason. So if our beloved vets are voted out, we can still hope they get back in.
One last thing before we send you off, we shall discuss some of our favorites early on and how the returners have done. Initially going in, I was almost sure David was gonna have a rough go. He is the least experienced and is probably weaker than most physically, but is probably the biggest strategic threat of the returnees. So, of course everyone would want to vote home out, right? Wrong. I have absolutely no idea how David manadged to do this, but he seems to be relatively secure and even has a sub-alliance with Wendy. He is playing a phenomenal social game and has been the deciding factor every vote so far. But, every power guy needs a side kick, right? Not exactly. Rick Devens is David’s clostest ally in the game but is definitely no side kick is already playing one heck of a game. He has as much control as David but is seen as less of threat. As of now he has the best position in the game, but as there were only three episodes thus far and there’s a tribe swap tonight, that could very easily change.
That’s all for tonight! Thanks and come back Tuesday for a more in depth blog post!!! (And some bonus post here and there.)
